    World Tents is a custom tent manufacture that designs and manufactures one of the strongest and safest tents on the market today. World Tents would like to thank you for considering us for your tent needs and would like to take a moment to share with you our experience and our product.

     My name is Martin Tolliver and am the designer and owner of World Tents. Forty years ago I started erecting large canvas tents. The sizes of these tents ranged anywhere from 160’x 360’ to 20’x 20’ and were made of canvas with rope reinforcement.

    Through the many years of erecting these tents I gained expansive field experience of how the various tents performed in all types of extreme weather conditions such as tornados, straight line winds, hurricanes, heavy down pores of rain, snow storms and everything in between. Discovered were many weak points in the tents I was erecting and it became apparent to me the need and importance to redesign these big top tents.

     My goal was to build a better tent and a safer tent.  I have accomplished this goal and have developed and manufacture a tent that incorporates stronger and lighter weight materials with light weight reinforcement webbing with no leakage, better anchoring systems, lighter poles, stronger hardware, and a tent that has a simpler and quicker setup.

    Materials:  The materials and hardware incorporated in our tents have been through extensive research, development, and testing. Only after passing our rigid field test will we incorporate them into our tents.

    Construction: World Tents designed a machine especially for our own tent manufacturing.  The machine uses a process called hot air welding or heat sealing. Hot air welding our 2” seams consists of three factors; constant temperature, continuous speed, and constant pressure. These factors must be maintained at all times. Once a seam has been welded, the seam is stronger than the material. All anchoring points have a 2” reinforced webbing which is added to the seam for additional strength.

    The welding process gives you a tent that is almost 100% leak proof and a tent that is much stronger than conventionally sewn tents.

    Brass grommets  are mounted in all side pole lace line locations.

     Quarter poles are attached to a dome. The Dome is attached to the tent for safety.

    Vinyl Tent Tops are built in several colors in 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18 oz translucent material. Opaque (block out)  is available in white only in 16, 17, and ,18 ounce material.
